Sex, power, and leadership, we don’t often hear those words in the same sentence but they’re more connected than we’re often willing to admit. That’s exactly why this session is happening at Ideas Fest.

Sexual confidence isn’t just about what happens behind closed doors. It’s about how you show up in the world; clearer, braver, more grounded in who you are. In September, four speakers are bringing this often-avoided truth centre stage. Cindy Gallop, Calandra Balfour, Ruth Ramsay, and Polly Hazlewood will explore the very real link between sexual self-awareness and professional power in a panel titled From the Bedroom to the Boardroom: How Sexual Confidence Fuels Business Success.

You won’t find this kind of conversation on the usual business stage. This session breaks down the false divide between personal and professional confidence, because the reality is, they’ve always been intertwined.

Cindy Gallop is a force of nature. The former ad exec turned sextech pioneer has been shaking up conversations about sex and power for over a decade. Her platform, Make Love Not Porn, exists to normalize real-world sex and provide a safe space to talk about it without shame. But Cindy’s message goes far beyond the bedroom. Her belief is simple and direct: when you are confident sexually, you’re confident full stop, you don’t second-guess yourself, you own your voice, and you’re unafraid to challenge the status quo. That’s exactly the mindset great entrepreneurs and leaders embody.

And she’s not alone in that thinking.
